I have a "New Kids and Goats For Sale" page that is currently being transitioned to a new website www.cedarviewsales.webs.com. If the goat is for sale, there will be a price listed in the information block of text next to its photo. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing a goat or the progeny of a particular goat. If there is no price listed, you can make an offer. It never hurts to ask.
I don't have a "Sales Policy" page (maybe I'll make one someday), but my policy is very straight forward. If you want to buy a goat, and I want to sell it to you; then we work out the details. I do reserve the right to change my mind and retain any goat previously offered for sale on this website. I will not, however, change my mind after the details of a sale are complete, agreed upon by both parties, and finalized with payment in full. Since banks are reluctant to verify funds on checking accounts due to privacy issues (and fraud), I cannot take a check for final payment unless the check can be deposited at least 2 weeks prior to pick up of the goat. Please bring cash for final payment unless we have a prior arrangement. I don't take Pay Pal.
Goats offered for sale may be tested for any disease desired at the buyer's expense. A standard Veterinary Certificate of health is available through my vet or a vet of the buyer's choice - either option is at the buyer's expense. Several days notice is required to obtain the health certificate.
Transport is arranged by and paid for by the buyer. We can ship by air through United Airlines from McGhee Tyson Airport near Knoxville, TN. All fees, including the cost of the goat, health papers, shipping cost, and crate for shipping must be paid before the goat leaves the property.
Goats offered for sale are healthy and free of disqualifying defects at the time of the sale. For obvious reasons, the health of any goat cannot be guaranteed after it leaves Cedar View Farm. Buyers, or their representative picking up the goat, are responsible for checking a goat for signs of illness or injury before they leave the property. Buyers are asked to verify tattoos prior to leaving. No registered goat will leave prior to being tattooed.
When a goat is out of my sight, and therefore out of my control, I can't be responsible for its health or future development or fertility beyond the ADGA recommendations for the sale of breeding stock. Breeding stock bucks are always guaranteed to breed, or a replacement of equal quality will be offered upon the presentation of an official veterinary statement that documents the infertility of the buck. ADGA guidelines will be followed for replacement.
Whew! There you go. I guess I have a sales policy page after all.
